Baby bear came to visit my home in the North Carolina woods one foggy morning. I grabbed my camera and caught him peeking around a tree to see if it was safe.
No mama bear and no other bears; he was probably a yearling. Still small, he was curious about everything as he searched for food among the nuts and berries in our woods.
John Haldane is a published professional artist living in Asheville, North Carolina. His artwork has been featured in fine art galleries in Arizona and North Carolina and in calendars, books, and magazines. The magazines include The Scenic, the Laurel of Asheville, The Writers & Artists Quarterly, COSTCO Magazine, Wild WNC News, Camera in the Wild Magazine, and others.
