A banjo busker in Asheville plays his old instrument on the street for tips. He is aware the old girl is failing and he is looking for a new one. So I tipped him $120 and told him to get a new one when he can. Then I took a photo which I interpreted digitally with line drawing, bright acrylic colors, and finger painting smudges. The result here reflects the beauty of his music, old banjo or not.
John Haldane is a published professional artist living in Asheville, North Carolina. His artwork has been featured in fine art galleries in Arizona and North Carolina and in calendars, books, and magazines. The magazines include The Scenic, the Laurel of Asheville, The Writers & Artists Quarterly, COSTCO Magazine, Wild WNC News, Camera in the Wild Magazine, and others. He has had articles published in several of these magazines as well. Haldane's art is unique, created using cameras, software, digital tools, and/or paints.
