Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra wrote the seminal novel, Don Quixote in 1605. The object of many plays and songs over the centuries, I found him one night (Knight?) in a basket store in Asheville. Wearing modern shades, holding white tulips, and wearing an intricately woven piece of cloth, he may appear to be rather wooden, but he is still the Knight of the Woeful Countenance.
John Haldane is a published professional artist living in Asheville, North Carolina. His artwork has been featured in fine art galleries in Arizona and North Carolina and in calendars, books, and magazines. The magazines include The Scenic, the Laurel of Asheville, The Writers & Artists Quarterly, COSTCO Magazine, Wild WNC News, Camera in the Wild Magazine, and others. He has had articles published in several of these magazines as well. Haldane's art is unique, created using cameras, software, digital tools, and/or paints. Haldane is a member of the Carolina Nature Photographers Association (CNPA).
