Description
This time of year, I like to sit on my back deck, listening to the birds and my waterfalls, watching for the creatures of the woods, and enjoying life. Sometimes, like this morning, something comes along and I am happy to have my Canon 100-400mm lens to snap a photo. This Swallowtail Butterfly spent quite a while flitting about my azaleas. The color contrasts in the morning light were nothing short of spectacular. I took 41 photos to get this,. This is the best of them. It was the 40th shot, too.
