Eye on Washington. This surrealistic fantasy piece is a page out of history and a science fiction dystopian painting. Made digitally using a photo of the US Capital and the eye of an alligator, the spooky image conveys a wide variety of interpretations from watchfulness to anger to impending danger. What do YOU see in this image? It was fun to make and is a sign of the times. The title is something akin to a news segment on a major network. So there is some tongue-in-cheek humor here, too. John Haldane is a published professional artist living in Asheville, North Carolina. His artwork has been featured in fine art galleries in Arizona and North Carolina and in calendars, books, and magazines.
