Eye on Washington. This surrealistic fantasy piece is a page out of history and a science fiction dystopian painting. Made digitally using a photo of the US Capital and the eye of an alligator, the spooky image conveys a wide variety of interpretations from watchfulness to anger to impending danger. What do YOU see in this image? It was fun to make and is a sign of the times. The title is something akin to a news segment on a major network. So there is some tongue-in-cheek humor here, too. About John Haldane
John Haldane is a published professional artist living in Asheville, North Carolina. His artwork has been featured in fine art galleries in Arizona and North Carolina and in calendars, books, and magazines. The magazines include The Scenic, the Laurel of Asheville, The Writers & Artists Quarterly, COSTCO Magazine, Wild WNC News, Camera in the Wild Magazine, and others.
