Description
Sally rubbed her eyes and snuggled up against her cool pillow and under the warm blankets. Bedtime used to be something she dreaded, but now she looked forward to it every night.
Closing her eyes, Sally followed her nightly routine. She imagined herself in her chair by the window. Nighttime made her world dark with shapes and shadows of black and white. It used to be scary and still was a place she didn’t mind leaving at all. Dreaming now, she stared out the window.
In the distance, the golden moon smiled down on the castle. Fairies danced along a pathway made of clouds. Stars twinkled in the sky. Everything was colorful, fun, and not the least bit scary. She felt a tingle on her back; her wings were growing. It was time to join the fairies.
