Artist's Description
I arose at 5:30 AM on October 8 and drover for 75 minutes along the Blue Ridge Parkway to reach Graveyard Fields. This area of the Smoky Mountains shows Fall colors first each year. The Middle Falls are easily viewable from the Parkway and I set up my Canon 400mm lens and camera on a tripod and shot numerous photos of the surrounding landscape as the sun rose.
At home, I developed the photos I took and then created art from some of the best pieces. This is a digital painting from one of those photos.
