Description
So what exactly is a Melodica you ask? Well it’s an instrument that It is played by blowing air through a mouthpiece that fits into a hole in the side of the instrument. You press one of the keys and it allows air to flow through a reed. The keyboard is 2 or 3 octaves. Melodicas are popular in music education especially in Asia. The Melodica in its modern form was invented in 1956 by a Brooklyn Musician Joseph Lederfine to teach music fundamentals to children.
