Momisms
Things that mothers say to us
Will stick for years and years
Mothers know how to tap
Our interests and our fears
Do it once! Do it right!
Never start or pick a fight
Tell the truth, never lie
Big boys never, ever cry
Am I talking to a wall?
Don’t you listen to me at all?
Do as I say, not as I do
Who do you think you are talking to?
You made your bed, now in it lie
Careful! You’ll put out your eye!
Clean your plate, make your bed
You’re gonna miss me when I’m dead
Money does not grow on trees
I’ll give you ‘til the count of three
This will hurt me more than you
Don't you have anything better to do?
Don’t ask me, ask your Dad
Life isn’t fair, don’t make me mad
You’ll understand when you get old
Put on a sweater, I am cold
A little birdy told me so
Tell me where you’re going to go
If wishes were horses beggars would ride
It’s a beautiful day, play outside!
Do you think I'm made of money?
You’ll catch more flies if you use honey
I don't care who started it
How many times do I have to say it
Don’t give up, you have to try
Because I SAID so, that is why!
I've had it up to here with you.
I hope you have children just like you.
There’s many more I think you know
Because our mothers told us so
I hope you learned a thing or two
When you have kids, you’ll say these, too
