This Paradise Harbor morning lived up to the name. It was spectacular, unbelievable, stunning, gorgeous, awe-inspiring, and breathtaking. I took this photograph and new instantly that it would be a keeper. What I didn't know, looking at it on the small camera screen, was the ring around the sun was there again! I only saw that when I developed the RAW image.
Antarctica was the most amazing experience! We were blessed with 4 good days of weather in a row (unheard of down there), incredible views, amazing wildlife, and an unforgettable adventure. This photograph is from February 1, 2018 at about 8:45 in the morning.
John Haldane is a published professional artist living in Asheville, North Carolina. His artwork has been featured in fine art galleries in Arizona and North Carolina and in calendars, books, and magazines. The magazines include The Scenic, the Laurel of Asheville, The Writers & Artists Quarterly, COSTCO Magazine, Wild WNC News, Camera in the Wild Magazine, and others.
