Artist's Description
I live in the forest east of Asheville, NC. Here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, songbirds and wildlife give me great pleasure. From my second story office window, I set up a Canon 5D Mark III and an f/2.8 400mm lens to shoot birds that perch in trees at the forest edge. Here a male Purple Finch, one of more than 21 species of birds that come through my yard at various times of year.
