Artist's Description
Southern Bell at the Chapel of Ease, St. Helena Island, Frogmore, SC. This candid photograph creates a vision of years gone by: a southern lady from Civil War years resting in the window of the ruins of an old chapel. The views through the chapel and two windows add depth. The walls are coated in seashells, laid over brick. The green trees in the background belie the winter day in December. I digitally painted the photo in the style of Van Gogh and faded the effect to soften it. This mood piece is perfect for a waiting room, hotel lobby, business, or home.
