A photographer looks for unique opportunities; see things others may miss; is unafraid to gamble on taking a shot. While on a cruise in the Atlantic Ocean, I snapped photographs of the sea beside us from a variety of unique positions. The result is what you see in my series "Swirling Waters at Sea." These abstract images are actual photographs but could be any medium the imagination allows. The colors are exactly as captured by my cameras. Nature is beautiful.
The Voyage of the Vikings on the Holland America (HAL) cruise ship, Zaandam, began and ended in Boston, Massachusetts. Highlights included Maine, Newfoundland, Labrador, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Netherlands, Ireland, and Scotland.
John Haldane is a published professional artist living in Asheville, North Carolina. His artwork has been featured in fine art galleries in Arizona and North Carolina and in calendars, books, and magazines. The magazines include The Scenic, the Laurel of Asheville, The Writers & Artists Quarterly, COSTCO Magazine, Wild WNC News, Camera in the Wild Magazine, and others. He has had articles published in several of these magazines as well. Haldane's art is unique, created using cameras, software, digital tools, and/or paints.
