Happiness is a night at the Asheville Drum Circle. Every Friday night, weather permitting, drummers, dancers, and crowds of observers gather in Pritchard Park to spend 3 or 4 hours enjoying the "Heartbeat of the Mountains." This young man was both a drummer and, then later, a dancer enjoying a gorgeous June evening.

John Haldane is a published professional artist living in Asheville, North Carolina. His artwork has been featured in fine art galleries in Arizona and North Carolina and in calendars, books, and magazines. The magazines include The Scenic, the Laurel of Asheville, The Writers & Artists Quarterly, COSTCO Magazine, Wild WNC News, Camera in the Wild Magazine, and others. He has had articles published in several of these magazines as well. Haldane's art is unique, created using cameras, software, digital tools, and/or paints. Haldane is a member of the Carolina Nature Photographers Association (CNPA).
