Artist's Description
Graveyard Fields, on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Western North Carolina is one of the first places to show the colors of Autumn in the state. Take the Blue Ridge Parkway and then hike down into the fields and forest. Let the sunlight bathe the path in front of you. This is an awesome pastoral scene from the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The story behind this piece: I went to a a place off the Blue Ridge Parkway called "Graveyard Fields" to shoot sunrise and fall colors. I fell twice, sprained my wrist, dunked my camera in the river (ruined it) and gave up and came home. When I got home, I found out my brother's wife had died while I was at Graveyard Fields. The day sucked.
I went through the photos I saved from my outing and this piece of art came from it. The dark vignette represents the darkness of my day and the bright path is hope for a better tomorrow.
