Artist's Description
I live in the forest east of Asheville, NC. Here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, songbirds and wildlife give me great pleasure. From my second story office window, I set up a Canon 5D Mark III and an f/2.8 400mm lens to shoot birds that perch in trees at the forest edge. This goldfinch is one of more than 21 species of birds that come through here at various times of year.
