At the Western North Carolina Nature Center, the petting barnyard area is a popular spot for the children. The animals are very friendly - one might say tolerant - of the children, many of whom have not petted an animal before. The kids here seem to be looking for reassurance or instruction from each other.
I love the Nature Center and support it wholeheartedly with membership, donations, and more. I love living in Asheville, but even more I love Asheville living in me.
