Looking up Patton Avenue in Asheville, North Carolina. In the distance is the famous Vance Monument, County Courthouse, and City Hall. Along the avenue are restaurants and shops. This is part of the heart of downtown and another reason why Asheville is ranked so high on so many lists of places to see.

John Haldane is a published professional artist living in Asheville, North Carolina. His artwork has been featured in fine art galleries in Arizona and North Carolina and in calendars, books, and magazines.
