Artist's Description
A young girl sits lost, deep in another world created by the book she is reading. Around her drums beat wild, loud rhythms, booming, thundering, shaking the air. She remains unperturbed. He reality is elsewhere. The Asheville Drum Circle cannot shake her out of the reality of book fantasy. So it is with books.
About John Haldane
John Haldane is a published professional artist living in Asheville, North Carolina. His artwork has been featured in fine art galleries in Arizona and North Carolina and in calendars, books, and magazines. The magazines include The Scenic, the Laurel of Asheville, The Writers & Artists Quarterly, COSTCO Magazine, Wild WNC News, Camera in the Wild Magazine, and others.
