Mud

I like to play in mud
It’s squishy and it’s wet
I take my shoes off
And my socks
Then wander in where I can get
Muddy

Mud splashes on my legs
Slips in between my toes
And if I jump
Really high
Who knows where else it goes?

Mom doesn’t like mud like I do
She tells me every day
But if she only tried it
I’m sure she’d join my play
