Every Friday night, weather permitting, drummers, dancers, and crowds of observers gather in Pritchard Park to spend 3 or 4 hours enjoying the "Heartbeat of the Mountains." I enjoy spending time there taking portraits of the many fascinating people who come to the event.
Haldane Creative Art includes candid street photography by John Haldane of Asheville, North Carolina.
I specialize in Black and White candid head shots of people on the streets of Asheville, North Carolina. I use a Canon 7D Mark II camera and a 100-400mm lens, hand held, maintaining a safe distance to enable candid portraits.
John Haldane is a published professional artist living in Asheville, North Carolina. His artwork has been featured in fine art galleries in Arizona and North Carolina and in calendars, books, and magazines. The magazines include The Scenic, the Laurel of Asheville, The Writers & Artists Quarterly, COSTCO Magazine, Wild WNC News, Camera in the Wild Magazine, and others. He has had articles published in several of these magazines as well. Haldane's art is unique, created using cameras, software, digital tools, and/or paints.
