Description
NASA's Hubble Space Telescope took an image in July 2010 of interacting galaxies called Arp 273. The larger of the spiral galaxies, known as UGC 1810, has a disk that is tidally distorted into a rose-like shape by the gravitational tidal pull of the companion galaxy below it, known as UGC 1813.
Using the NASA image as a template and spinning in a photo of a rose I took in San Diego, CA in 2013, I created this inventive piece to honor NASA and Hubble and to represent the beauty of our universe.
