Thanksgiving
We’re going to have a turkey
For our Thanksgiving meal
I hear that he’ll be fully dressed
It’s really a big deal
He’ll have a place of honor
In the middle of us all
He’ll be the star attraction
For this biggest meal of Fall
We’ll have all the extras, too
Potatoes, yams, and rice
Green beans in a casserole
Ooh that does sound nice!
Grandma’s coming
Grandpa, too
We’ll set lots of places
I can hardly wait to see
All those happy faces
We’ll say a prayer
And give our thanks
Where we’ll sit, we’ll see
But I sure hope the turkey
Is seated next to me.
